Humility is attractive to God. Everywhere that it is found, there God is. And everywhere that God is here below, he clothes himself, as it were, with a garment that conceals his presence from the proud and reveals it to the simple and the little ones. When Jesus came to this world, it was as an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes. That was the sign given to the shepherds: And this shall be a sign to you, the angel said. You will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger.The sign of humility always marks the Divine here below.
