Faith teaches me that I am permanently bound to God, my Father, and that my existence does not depend on me or on my decisions . . . The life projects we establish with human intelligence alone do not satisfy us. If we renounce our status as children of God because we do not want to accept God’s teaching, we will lose our peace of soul. Lord, grant me the strength to return to you; like the prodigal son. You are the principle of my life and no one knows as well as you what is most useful for me. You have traced a path for each of us in the plan of your love. At each instant, we want to offer you our will. In spite of ourselves, we will not merely be resigned, but as your children will be always available to your plan for us. May your will be ours.
