This very day, this moment in which our heart is crushed by weariness and our strength seems to have ebbed away, precisely now in the middle of all this trouble, we pray for the healing peace of God. . . . God within us is like a fountain and we are guests invited to rest and refresh ourselves. We must discover this within ourselves and let the healing waters flow over the parched land of our lives. Then the desert will blossom…..Unless we find these inner fountains, these healing waters, no outward rest, no relaxation, will help us.
